What physio practice software really costs

Headline prices are easy to compare and rarely what you end up paying. The number that matters is the total for everything your practice actually needs — and for most products that total is a sum of two or three subscriptions.

Every figure below comes from the provider’s own public pricing page and was last checked on 31 July 2026.

The four things a practice runs on

Practice management

Diary, clinical notes, invoicing, patient records

Every product here does this. It is the baseline, not the differentiator.

Exercise prescription

A real library with video, ideally 3D, and a way for patients to open it

Usually a second subscription from a different company.

Call handling

Someone or something answering the phone when you are with a patient

Not offered by any practice management product we know of. A separate service.

Patient messaging

WhatsApp and social messages somewhere other than your personal phone

Usually your own mobile, which is why it feels free until it is not.

Where the compounding happens

Nobody buys practice management software and then does without exercise prescription. They buy both. That is the comparison worth making, and it is the one headline prices hide.

A typical stack

Practice management software, on a plan without appointment limits.

Plus an exercise prescription subscription, per practitioner.

Plus a call answering service, if you want the phone covered.

Plus your own mobile for patient messages.

Two or three bills, two or three logins, and patient information spread across all of them.

Movari

£29 per practitioner per month.

All four included, with no tier that withholds one of them.

Card payments cost Stripe’s published rate plus 50p to us, taken from the payment before it reaches you.

One bill, one login, one place the patient record lives.

We have deliberately not put a number on call answering. Those services price per call or per minute and vary too much to state fairly — get your own quote, and add it to whichever row applies.

The detail on each

Movari £29 per practitioner / month
  • One price, no tiers, no per-feature add-ons.
  • Card payments cost Stripe’s fee plus 50p to us, taken from the payment.

Jane £44 Practice plan / month, 1 practitioner
  • The £29 Balance plan is capped at 20 appointments a month, so it is not a like-for-like comparison with an unlimited plan.
  • Thrive is £55/month. Additional practitioners cost extra on both.
  • Add-ons priced separately, including AI Scribe at £15/practitioner/month.
  • No free trial; demo accounts only.

Cliniko $45 US dollars / month, single practitioner
  • Priced in US dollars even for UK practices.
  • Jumps to $95/month for 2–5 practitioners — a 2-person clinic pays the same as a 5-person one.
  • SMS charged separately at 10¢ per message.
  • 30-day free trial, which is the most generous here.

TM3 Not published quote only
  • Publishes no prices at all — the pricing page asks you to contact them.
  • You cannot compare what you cannot see, which is itself worth weighing when the alternative is a number on a public page.

Physitrack $18.99 US dollars / practitioner / month
  • Not practice management software — this is the exercise piece on its own.
  • This is the line item most often added on top of one of the products above.
  • 18,000+ exercise library, own patient app. 2-week trial.
