Built in Yorkshire, by a startup that cares.

Hello, I'm Stephen.

I spent over two years as a physiotherapy patient, and the digital side of the experience always felt clunkier than it should be.

When I looked closer, I found my physio was even less happy than I was: volume-based costs that climb constantly, high fees for tiered systems, all locking them into feature-sets they didn't even need but had to subscribe to in order to get access to the basic tools they did need.

I've spent a twenty-year career in technology and software development, across both public and private sector organisations and to me, this felt like a real gap, and I wanted to build something to fill it.

Then I went and asked

One person's irritation is not a product, so before writing any of this I spent a long time asking physiotherapists about their actual week. Not about software. About Monday.

Three things came up again and again, from people who had never met each other.

The first was that the practice software they were paying for had been designed for a clinic with an office manager, and was priced as though they had one. The second was that exercise prescription was always a separate company, a separate subscription and a separate login, which is why so many rehab plans still went home as a photocopy. The third was the phone. Answering it meant stopping a treatment. Not answering it meant losing the person on the other end.

None of that is a hard technology problem. It is what happens when tools built for organisations get sold to people working on their own. Movari is the attempt to build the other thing: one flat rate, everything in the box, and nothing important withheld for a plan you have not bought. Clinical notes, the diary, payments, 3D exercise prescription, call handling and one inbox for patient messages, on locked records with mandatory MFA and a full audit trail.

What we believe

Data is secure by design

Patient records are stored and processed in UK data centres and, unless there's a clear clinical reason, are never exposed to anything or anyone except you.

Simple to use, no jargon

We use standard, well-documented tech and ways of building software. Throughout your experience using Movari you'll only be reading plain English, not technical jargon, and you'll find we've designed everything for how you work, not just a long list of 'features'.

One system, not five

Clinical notes, diary, payments, exercise prescription, call handling and patient messaging, all in one place for one price. No separate exercise platform to rent, no call-answering service, no second subscription. Taking card payments means setting up a Stripe account, and that account is yours: your money goes to your bank, your payment records stay with you, and you keep both if you ever leave us. With the cost of living at an all-time high, we've designed Movari to be a light-weight, affordable solution that works for the solo, independent practitioner, not huge organisations.

It's not for everyone

Because Movari is designed for individuals and small practices, we explicitly don't cater for large organisations. This may mean we decline your request to sign up to Movari if we believe you're likely to have a poor experience. Equally, if your business grows beyond what Movari can offer you, we will help you migrate to an 'Enterprise' solution if and when the time comes.
