Patient messaging

One inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger — beside the clinical record

Patient enquiries arrive where patients already are, which today means your personal phone. Movari puts all three channels in one place next to the record, with triage you control and automatic replies you wrote yourself.

Three channels, one inbox

  • WhatsApp Business, Instagram and Facebook Messenger all arrive in the same place.
  • Patients message you where they already are. You stop checking three apps on your own phone.
  • Connect the channels you actually use — none of them is required, and you can add one later.

Off your personal phone, for good

  • The reason this exists: patient enquiries currently land on your own WhatsApp, at your own number, at half past ten at night.
  • Once they arrive in Movari, they are in the practice, not in your pocket — and they are somewhere a colleague or a locum could pick up.
  • They also stop being scattered across a personal account you would have to hand over if you ever sold the practice.

Triage you do, not triage done to you

  • Four states, borrowed from the calls inbox because it works: Inbox, Snoozed, Done, Spam.
  • You decide what each conversation is. Movari does not read your messages to sort or prioritise them, and it does not label patients.
  • That is a deliberate choice, not a missing feature. Categorising conversations would mean sending patient message content to a language model to answer a question you can answer by reading the name.

Save what matters into the record. Leave the rest.

  • Some messages are clinically relevant. Most are "running ten minutes late".
  • You choose what gets saved into a clinical note, rather than the whole thread being dumped into the record or lost entirely.
  • A saved automatic reply is attributed to "Automatic reply", never to you — a clinical record must never imply you personally said something a machine sent while you were asleep.

Two automatic replies. Both written by you.

  • A first-contact greeting, and an out-of-hours reply. That is the entire automation.
  • Each sends the exact sentence you typed, verbatim. Nothing is generated, and there is no chatbot to talk to.
  • At most one reply per message, and once per closed period — so someone messaging five times over a weekend gets one acknowledgement, not five.
  • It never marks a thread as handled. The conversation still needs you; the automatic reply only buys the patient an honest expectation.
